Brand Establishment
Nanjing Frentec Technology established and launched the Tallpic brand,focusing on R&D and manufacturing of novel interactive display technologies. The same year, first portable whiteboard product based on IR camera, SP-20D, was released. It was first shown in the China Education Equipment Exibition in Fuzhou China, and received very positive feedback.
Lay The Foundation
The Chinese Patent 'A system and method for computer coordination and control input' issued by founder of the company was granted. The patent document established the basis for the product and technology in general.
Developed Interactive Whiteboard System And Achieved Success
Developed the interactive whiteboard system for rear-projection display product. It was used in products of almost all the known rear-projection companies in China.
Interactive System Support For The World's First Interactive Projector By Epson
Developed projector-imbeded whiteboard system. The hardware and software was successfully used in the world's first interactive projector by Epson.

The Chinese patent 'An interactive whiteboard device with filter-switch' was granted. This is the basis for the automatic calibration whiteboard products.
Patent Granted For An All-direction-triggered IR Pen
The Chinese patent 'Electronic IR pen with supper capacitor as power cell' was granted. And it was granted patents by Korea, India and Russia in 2015. This patent provided an all-direction-triggered IR pen, it is environmental friendly and no using cost. Over 500,000 such IR pens by Tallpic are in use all over the world.
